1) Participation over performance. We go against the flow of our culture that is mesmerized by celebrities. We pursue the participation of many instead of putting the focus on a few. 2) Mission over comfort. Just as Jesus was sent, so His followers are sent. We seek opportunities to get out into our world. We want to influence our neighborhood with Christ’s inexhaustible hope. 3) Prayer over everything. Dietrich Bonhoeffer said, “Where a people prays, there is the church, and where the church is there is never loneliness.”

God plans to recreate the earth. That recreation is currently proceeding one person at a time. With Jesus’ return it’ll be universally completed.
