brief history
Hope Community began as a house church. Our goal: create a warm, accepting, inviting place. We began with a dozen adults, zero financing, & faith.
We were surprised to discover that our neighbors weren’t comfortable visiting a church that met in homes.
So we began meeting in public facilities; the Marriott, Holiday Inn, Spring Creek School, Senior Center, & now the Northside Center.
Owning our own facility is not a priority. |

message
To philosophers of the 1st Century, a Christian wrote: “The Creator of the world and everything in it doesn’t need us, as if He couldn’t take care of Himself. He makes the creatures we didn’t create Him. “Starting from scratch God made the entire human race with plenty of time and space for living so we might seek Him and find Him. God’s not remote, He’s near! We live and move in Him. As poets have said, ‘We’re the God-created.’ “Since we are the God-created, we should not think the concept of God is a human idea. In the past He overlooked such ignorance, but that time is past. The unknown is now known. He’s calling for a life-change and has set a day when the human race will be judged and everything set right. God has already appointed the judge, confirming Him to everyone by raising Him from the dead.” —Acts 17
God is near, we live and move in Him. He’s calling you to radical life-change. —Acts 17

Our goals are focused upon connecting with God and with people—
engaging our culture for Christ
To take the gospel to emerging generations, the church must focus upon listening to people and dealing with their questions. Hope Community desires to be a safe place where people can ask the hardest, darkest, deepest, and most challenging questions about reality, the meaning of life, or the existence of God. We’re building a place that is safe for sincere people to gather together to seek answers to their spiritual questions. Being convinced of the truth of the New Testament, Hope Community is also convinced that offering this sort of space for spiritual seekers will lead them into the arms of the One who is Truth.
Become friends with God, He’s already a friend with you. —2Corinthians 5
