Jesus story

     2-3 minute re-telling of some event from Jesus’ life, as recorded in the gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John.

 

music with sung prayers

     15-20 minutes designed to usher you into the presence of your heavenly Father.

 

prayer

     7-10 minutes of your private and audible conversations with God.

 

scripture presentation

     3-5 minute reading with personal comment from a Hope Community participant.

 

break

     3 minutes to allow kids to go to Breakout, with an open coffee bar. 

 

monologue

     20-25 minute focus from the Bible.

 

specials

     Occasional artistic presentations via music, video, drama, etc.  

 

 

psalm & song sunday

first sunday of most months

     Bring your song and/or a Bible reading.  Up-front worship leaders are replaced by the congregation worshiping around a simple central altar.  The Lord’s Supper is celebrated in a unique worship environment.

 

 

church in the city

     Scheduled opportunities when Hope Community spends Sunday mornings out in our community.  We’ve spent Sunday mornings at Cinco de Mayo celebrations, in parks, at the World Vision Step Into Africa Exhibit on the CSU campus, and in nursing homes as well as retirement centers.
